by climbing partners, Jake Stout and Chris White,
Expedition Research is a non-profit organization
which provides financial and other assistance
to expeditions worldwide. ER accepts donations
on behalf of expeditions in the form of funds,
equipment, food, vessels, or other in-kind assistance.
100%
of all cash donations go directly to expeditions.
All administrative costs associated with distributing
funds are covered by the directors.
In
the past, ER has located funding and sponsors
for projects such as the Everest Medical Expedition,
the first American Woman to attempt to sail solo
across the Atlantic and a Trans-Pacific Balloon
Flight, among others.

former Biologist for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation,
Project Manager of the Tides Foundation and Executive
Director of the Mare Nostrum Foundation, Chris
has always been very involved with environmental
education. The author of several field guides
as well as articles which have appeared in National
Geographic and elsewhere, Chris is responsible
for developing an integrated environmental component

An
avid climber and sailor, Jake has climbed throughout
North America, made numerous solo ascents and
has owned two outdoor wilderness schools and several
contracting companies. Founder of ExpeditionQuest,
Inc.and ICE-9 Mountain/Crew Expeditions, Jake
assists with disbursements of funds to scientific
and exploratory expeditions.
